Sliding Scale Pricing: Making Bodywork Accessible

I believe in the importance of accessible bodywork and recognize that financial circumstances vary. My sliding scale is designed to support those who need it while ensuring sustainability for my practice. Please read below to determine where you best fit.

Who Should Pay the Standard or Higher End of the Scale?

If you:

  • Have stable income and savings

  • Own property or rent comfortably without financial strain

  • Have access to financial support from family, investments, or a well-paying job

  • Travel for leisure, dine out regularly, or afford non-essential purchases with ease

  • Work in a profession with benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, and retirement contributions

Please consider paying at the higher end of the scale. Your support helps make these sessions accessible for others in need.

Who Should Pay the Middle of the Scale?

If you:

  • Cover your basic needs (rent, food, transportation) but have little left for extras

  • Work in a field that doesn’t offer financial stability (freelance, gig work, service industry)

  • Have limited savings and minimal financial cushion

  • Occasionally need to budget for non-essentials but can generally afford self-care

The middle range of the scale is a good fit for you. It allows you to receive the care you need while ensuring fair compensation for my work.

Who Should Pay the Lower End of their Scale?

If you:

  • Struggle to meet basic needs such as rent, food, or healthcare

  • Are experiencing financial hardship due to job loss, medical expenses, or caregiving responsibilities

  • Have little to no disposable income and rarely invest in self-care due to cost

  • Are part of an underserved or marginalized community with systemic financial barriers

The lower end of the scale is here for you. No questions asked—just select the rate that aligns with your financial situation.

How to Choose Your Rate

I trust you to choose the rate that best reflects your financial reality. If your circumstances change, you’re welcome to adjust what you pay over time. The sliding scale is based on mutual care—I offer it so that healing work is accessible, and in return, I trust my community to contribute in a way that sustains this practice.
